THE DRIP COLLECTIVE

ABOUT THE FOUNDER: TARA SZYBILLO

Hi! My name is Tara Szybillo.

I am so excited you're here.

Let's take it back to the beginning:

I grew up dancing in a studio, and always dreamed of becoming a professional dancer. Throughout my childhood, I would watch music videos and dance movies on repeat (I carried a watermelon). When YouTube became popular, you couldn't pry me from the screen if I was watching Tricia Miranda choreography, a Jade Chynoweth video, or a World of Dance competition.

During my freshman year of college, I had the opportunity and honor to cheer in the NFL for the NY Jets-- which started a 10+ year career on the sidelines in the NFL and NBA. I've cheered for the NY Jets, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Dallas Mavericks, and I've had the most incredible opportunities to appear on television shows like Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, Good Day New York, Good Morning America, and Good Morning Texas; to work with artists like Thomas Rhett, Dorrough, and CiCi Peniston; and dance at Superbowl XLVIII, where Bruno Mars performed with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I've taught masterclasses and choreographed for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, Oklahoma City Thunder Girls, and Dallas Mavericks D-Town Crew.

Now that I've hung up my performance poms and shadow-boxed my Lucchese boots, I've realized that, while experiencing some of the highest highs as a dancer, I also had some heartbreaking lows that, at times, made me feel like I might never find joy in dance again. Pursuing dreams can be stressful, and can come with a lot of obstacles, backlash, and setbacks.

Which leads me to why I created DRIP:

EVERY DANCER DESERVES A SAFE SPACE TO LOVE DANCE.

To learn, grow, feel empowered and sexy, build confidence, break a sweat, and connect with friendships that will uplift you through the highs and lows of pursuing what sets your soul on fire--whether dance or not.

Whether you are a former studio dancer who wants to move again, an aspiring pro looking for well-rounded training, a current or former pro wanting to connect with your love for dance again, or an absolute beginner wanting to explore something new: you are welcome here.

We've had students of all levels, with ages ranging from 14 to 51, all in one room dancing together. I would love for you to come experience what it's like to DRIP.

XO, Tara
